According to the notification No 134/2016/BGD/FSP from Sapa Fansipan cable car Tourism Services Ltd, Sapa Fansipan cable car will be suspend for maintenance operation due 5 day (from 9th Jan 2017 to 13rd Jan 2017)
The suspension is to serve the cable car system maintenance periodically, as required by the manufacturer - Doppelmayr Cable Car. Fansipan cable car will work back and continue to welcome visitors from 14th Jan 2017.

During this time, if you want to conquer Fansipan, you may choose to climb Fansipan by road. There are 3 starting point is at Cat Cat village (at 1.245m height), San Sa Ho village (Sin Chai village - at 1.260m height), Tram Ton (at 1.900m height). At these point always have guide tourist and experience porter ready to serve the needs "climbing Fan" of travelers.

This really is an good opportunity for those who want to conquer the roof of Indochina without using cable car. If your health are not able to climb, you can try to go Fansipan cable car prior to the date of 9th Jan 2017 or waiting for the cable car running back on 14th Jan 2017.
