Seo My Ty – Peaceful Retreat In The Hoang Lien Range
Seo My Ty – a new destination for tourists where still retains the characteristics of the Hmong village in Sapa with the traditional house made from po mu wood, the terraced fields winding around the highest artificial lake of Indochina, peach and plum trees, vegetable gardens, anilams…Will make you feeling very peaceful.
Seo My Ty – New tourist destination is quite new to all of tourists when visiting Sa Pa National tourism site, is a small village of Ta Van commune, located in the middle of Hoang Lien National Park, about 20km far from Sa Pa. It has a great potential for developing various types of ecotourism and culture associated of Mong Ethnic in Sa Pa, attractive tourists who love the peaceful and exploring the nature and mountains of the North West.
Nice view on the way to Seo My Ty
To get to Seo My Ty, visitors will go through the most beautiful route in Sa Pa – Muong Hoa valley, then continue through the center of Lao Chai, Ta Van or the ancient stone. From Ta Van village, going up to Seo My Ty, the road is quite difficult to drive, only suitable for motorcycles or 4 wheel drive because this is a new destination, but on the way, you will see the whole scene of Muong Hoa valley, terraced heritage, beautiful bamboo forest is strictly protected by local people, etc. After about 1 hour drive, you will be amazing at the peaceful, poetic, it is disparity with the noisy life in the city. In front of you is the Seo My TY lake, wellknown as the highest artificial lake of Indochina. The lake is about 60ha wide, formed after the construction of Se Trung Trung Ho hydroelectricity. On the surface of the lake, there are occasional small boats, or bamboo arrays to serving local people on either side of the lake or for tourists to take photos. The poetic scenery will remind you with the frames in some China movies. In the other corner are the fish farms built by local people around the lake to farming salmon and other types of fish to advantage the clean water in the lake, which is also one of the important income to improving the lives of people.
Peaceful at Seo My Ty lake
Surrounding the Seo My Ty lake are small villages of about 80 Hmong households who have settled and cultivated here for many generations, almost preserving the characteristics of the Mong village in Sapa with The roofs of po mu wooden, the terraced fields winding around the wooden houses, peach trees, plum trees, vegetable gardens, animals… make you have feeling of peace. Coming to Seo My Ty, you should enjoy your time to walk in the forest with the local people, visit the immense forests, many precious woods, hear the sound of holy birds somewhere behind the trees, visit cardamom forest is waiting for harvest day …
