According to map, Muong Hoa valley lies about 2 miles to the south-east of Sapa town. Muong Hoa valley is located at Cat Cat, Hau Thao, Lao Chai, Y Linh Ho, Su Pan, Ta Van village. Thousand of tourists come here to visit every week because of its stunningly beautiful landscape. Muong Hoa valley is at 1.100 meters above sea level so its temperature is cool round year. There is one mainroad runs from Sapa town to the end of the valley, so travellers could go down hill by walking or by taxi.

In summer, After paddy rice planting season is ended, green paddy rice season is begun in Sapa. In june, all terraced paddy rice fields are green color in the countryside of Sapa town, it looks Wonderfully, even though it’s summer time. Going sightseeing Sapa is the best choise in june. Muong Hoa valley’s terraced rice paddy fields will be filled with life, the valley looks like one single green sheet. And in autumm, the second half of September and the first half of October is the best time to enjoy the golden paddies. Ripe ears of rice in terraced paddy fields make the countryside of Sapa town looks gorgeously. Successive golden beautiful mountains attracts crowded tourists to visit. Uncovered by French people in 1903, Sapa ancient rock field is located at the valley. About 200 blocks of stone covers 5 square miles of Hau Thao, Lao Chai, Su Pan and Ta Van village. The patterns on the wallpaper look floral and unique such as: Terraced rice paddy field, road, man, characters patterns. But there are so many patterns make us could not understand till now.
Going 4 miles along Hoa stream from Sapa town, travellers will arrive Lao Chai village where May bridge is located at. May bridge is just made from forest bamboo, wood and liana, main purpose of bridge making is just for walking cross the stream, so motorbikes and taxis can not cross it. And in the eyes of tourists who come from cities, that is so interesting. Step by step, May bridge becomes one icon of Sapa tourism.
