Experience The Thuong Temple Festival
Thuong Temple in Lao Cai city is attracting a large number of visitors during the festival days.
The contents of the festival are carried out in a space imbued with the identity of the land and people of Lao Cai. The highlight of the ceremony is the palanquin procession of hundreds of people moving to the Thuong Temple area. The official opening ceremony takes place at 9:00 – 10:00 on February 12, 2025.
At the main stage, the festival will recreate the historical scene of the sacred temple performed by the Hanoi Cheo Theater, followed by the incense offering ceremony conducted according to traditional rituals. After the ceremony, the festival takes place with cultural and sports activities.

In the “Vietnamese Cultural Space” area, the cultural life of ethnic groups is shown through the display of traditional crafts such as making incense, brocade embroidery of the Dao and Xa Pho people, weaving, along with traditional rituals and typical cuisine such as bamboo-tube rice, cakes, and five-color sticky rice. In addition, visitors can also participate in folk games such as throwing “Con”, walking on stilts, creating a rich and diverse experience space…
