Biodiversity garden in the heart of Sapa
There is a biodiversity garden right in the premises of Sapa Tourist House, a place to display and interpret biodiversity, and introduce the precious plants to people and tourists..
Entrance to the biodiversity garden at Sapa Tourist House
Based on climate conditions, the ability to grow and tree development, biodiversity garden initially planted 18 species of trees such as: Calocedrus macrolepis; Berberis julianae C. K. Schneid; Azalea; Fujian cypress; Cherry blossom; Podocarpus neriifolius; Nageia Fleuryi (Hick.) de Laubenf; Red maple; Australian pine tree; Chinese arbortivae; Stephania glabra; Cardamom. The species of trees are planted with different uses such as medicinal plants, timber, landscape creation, spices … and will bring many values to human life.
The biodiversity garden aims to build and preserve nature, protect the ecology of rare plant species of Hoang Lien National Park, serve for environmental protection and sustainable development of the country.
Cherry blossom
Visitors when visiting Sapa Tourist House can find detail about the species of trees planted in Biodiversity garden through a separate QR code for each tree. This garden will contributes to promote the urgency of biodiversity conservation to the people and tourists visiting Sapa.
Some new plants were planted at Biodiversity garden
In the future, biodiversity garden will become a tourism product serving tourists, promote the biodiversity in Lao Cai, nature conservation and ecological protection of rare plant species of Hoang Lien National Park; serve the cause of environmental protection, sustainable development of the country as well as green tourism, sustainable tourism in Lao Cai.
