This is also the ideal time to participate in cultural festivals such as the “New Rice Festival”, a festival to thank the land and ancestors for giving a bountiful harvest. Or the Mid-Autumn Festival in the highlands is an opportunity for visitors to participate in moon-watching activities with local people, immerse themselves in the space of lanterns and traditional lion dances.

Winter – Romantic and warm

When winter comes, Sa Pa is covered in a misty fog and layer of white snow. Winter festivals add to the appeal of this land, such as the “Sapa Snow Festival”,  an opportunity for visitors to experience the feeling of playing with snow, participating in snowman building competitions and enjoying hot dishes. Or the highland Tet market takes place on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. The market became more bustling than ever, bringing the typical Tet atmosphere of the mountainous region.
