Sin Chai – The Most Original Village In Sapa

Sapa has been long famous in the heart of visitors with the stone church or the roof of Indochina – Fansipan Mt… However, the wave of tourism has flooded into Sapa, causing it to gradually become commercialized. Even so there are still simple, rustic villages full of friendliness, and Sin Chai is the most original village in Sapa.

Location

Sin Chai belongs to  Hoang Lien commune, located about 4km from the center of Sa Pa town. Although located right next to Cat Cat – a famous community cultural tourism village, Sin Chai is still pristine and quiet.

Time to visit

The best time you should come to visit Sin Chai village is in the ripe rice season (in the late September or early October). Standing in front of the vast scenery, visitors will admire thousands of terraced fields spread evenly, winding around the hillsides and mountain backs. The clouds and sun rays here like to adorn the picture of the golden season. The panorama view of Sin Chai at that time was like a beautiful and haughty girl by the winding stream, showing off its soft curves with mountains and forests.

Sin Chai also be a great destination for those who want to learn about the life of the Black Mong people in Sapa. People here have a simple and peaceful life. In the rainy season, they sew, go to the fields, grow cardamom. When the crop is over, they only go to the forest to collect firewood, raise buffaloes and raise horses.

Ticket price to visit Cat Cat village with adults is 90,000 VND/person and children 30.000 VND/person. Or if you just want to visit Sin Chai village, you can buy tickets to the village for 40,.000 VND/adult and 20.000 VND/child. If you want to learn more clearly, you can stay at some homestay in the village. The price is about 70.000 VND/pax/night. However, depending on the health situation, visitors can choose the form of sightseeing that is most suitable for themselves such as buying a tour from a travel company, or renting a motorbike to experience it with prices ranging from 120.000-200.000 VND per day.

No hustle and bustle, no sellers to invite and attract tourists like in Cat Cat, Ta Phin or Ta Van villages, Sin Chai is where everything is still simple and intact like the original plot.
