Stop collecting entrance fees at some tourist attractions in Sapa
Recently, the People’s Council of Lao Cai province, term XVI, on July 16, 2021, approved Resolution No. 13/2021/NQ-HDND dated July 16, 2021 on the temporary suspension of the collect of entrance fees to some of tourist attractions in Sa Pa. This Resolution takes effect from August 1, 2021 to the end of December 31, 2021.

Recently, the People’s Council of Lao Cai province, term XVI, on July 16, 2021, approved Resolution No. 13/2021/NQ-HDND dated July 16, 2021 on the temporary suspension of the collect of entrance fees to some of tourist attractions in Sa Pa. This Resolution takes effect from August 1, 2021 to the end of December 31, 2021.
Accordingly, Lao Cai province will suspend toll collection at tourist attractions in Sa Pa town including: Sin Chai village tourist site, Ta Phin commune tourist site, Muong Hoa valley tourist attraction.
The People’s Council of Lao Cai province approved the suspension of the above tourist attractions, which is explained that the number of tourists visiting Sin Chai tourist attraction was east because it was the starting point of the climbing journey to discover Fansipan peak. However, since the Fansipan cable car system went into operation, the number of visitors to Sin Chai is very small, especially since the covid-19 pandemic occurred, this tourist destination has almost no visitors. As for Ta Phin tourist site and Muong Hoa valley, there are many attractions interspersed with residential areas, due to difficulties in distinguishing tourists from locals. but there is a barie blocking the road causing frustration for the people.
The stop of toll collection received the consent and support of people living and doing business at community tourist sites in Sa Pa town.
