The Activities To Welcome Lunar New Year In Bac Ha 2024
To create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people during the Lunar New Year Giap Thin 2024; celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2024)
Bac Ha District People’s Committee organizes a series of events in the district with the specific time as follows.
* Provincial level:
– The opening program is associated with the art program “Nghieng Say Mua Xuan” on a provincial level with activities: Program recreating the intangible cultural heritage of the traditional Bac Ha horse racing festival; Photo exhibition of Flowers and Ethnic Costumes; Exhibition of photos of Bac Ha in the past and present.
– Time: March 9-10, 2024 (January 29 – February 1 of the lunar calendar).
– Location: Bac Ha town.

* District: level
– Organize a cultural program – Fireworks display to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, celebrate the lunar New Year 2024 and welcome the first tourists travelling to Bac Ha from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m February 9, 2024 (night of the 30th of Lunar New Year) at the district’s central Stadium.
– Organize the Football Tournament to celebrate the Party and celebrate the lunar New Year 2024 from February 16 – February 17, 2024 (7th-8th of the Lunar New Year) at the central stadium.
– Nguyen Tieu Poetry Night 2024 will be held on February 24, 2024 (full moon day of the first month of Giap Thin year), at the district’s ethnic cultural building.
– Bac Ha Fire Dancing Festival 2024 from March 9, 2024 (January 29 of the lunar calendar), at the district center.

– Mountain climbing tournament to conquer the “Ba Me Con” mountain, time 8:00 a.m. March 10, 2024.
– Organize an Olympic running day for the health of all people integrated with the organization of the traditional Cross Country Tournament on March 15, 2024.
* Commune level:
– Gau Tao Festival in Bac Ha district in 2024, held from February 13 – February 15, 2024 (4th to 6th day of Lunar New Year) in Ngai Ma village, Thai Giang Pho commune.
– Going to the Field Festival in Ta Chai commune on February 21, 2024 (January 12).
– Going to the Field Festival in Na Hoi commune on February 23, 2024 (January 14).
– Going to the Fields Festival in Ban Lien commune on February 24, 2024 (January 15).
– Going to the Field Festival associated with Trung Do Temple Festival in Bao Nhai commune held on February 24, 2024 (January 15).
– Bac Ha Temple Festival 2024, held from March 18, 2024 – March 19, 2024
(February 9 – 10 of the lunar calendar).

– Program: White Highland plum flower 2024 organized by the People’s Committee of Ta Van Chu commune in March 2024.
– Pear flower festival, enjoying ancient tea organized by Hoang Thu Pho Commune People’s Committee in March 2024.
